Why should i choose a ground source heat pump system?
Ground Source Heat Pumps utilize the stored energy within the ground around your property arising from ground temperatures generated from the sun and geothermal sources . This stored energy can be extracted from the ground and used by a heat pump to provide heating and hot water energy for your home. By placing a series of pipes in a borehole or trench near your home, these pipes contain heat transfer fluid which flows repeatedly through a heat pump, compressor and expansion valve to provide uniform heat all year round for your heating and hot water system.
Why should i choose an air source heat pump system?
Alternatively, if space is limited around your property you can collect energy from the air using an Air Source Heat Pump. This will provide energy all year round for hot water, heating and air conditioning.
An Air Source Heat Pump draws air across refrigerant coils, warming the refrigerant inside. This energy is collected and compressed in the heat pump in the same way as a GSHP does, resulting in water temperatures which you can use in your home for heating and hot water.
Both Ground Source and Air Source heat pumps produce energy in a very effective and cost saving way compared with the more traditional methods of heating your home, not only producing a potential monthly saving on your energy bills but also reduces your carbon footprint through the use of renewable energy.
What are the benefits of installing Air or Ground Source Pumps?
